16 Summer Outfits in Turquoise/Aqua

Following up on my recent outfit of the day post with the turquoise t-shirt knit skirt and cardigan, I have put together 16 summer OOTDs from the last few years that are based on turquoise or aqua items. Note that pieces absolutely do repeat across these outfits! In fact, I have tried to organize the photos to make those linkages between outfits more obvious. I've also included the color/print combination description with each photo. I hope you find something here to help inspire your summer style!

I also decided to add the cost, number of wears, and cost per wear stats for each of these items. As part of my intention to have a more sustainable wardrobe, I am focusing on the 30 wears & <$1 cost per wear (CPW) metrics for the items in my closet. I am sharing these stats because (a) I am always interested in seeing them in other bloggers' posts and (b) I hope to encourage all of us (whether we track our wardrobe stats or not) to keep the ideas of wears and CPW in mind. I am also happy to say that of the 7 items featured here, 6 of them were purchased secondhand!

Late link last night (New York time), Grand Seiko launched one of its first releases of the year: the new SLGH027, a 40mm by 11.7mm Ever-Brilliant steel watch on a bracelet housing the brand's 9SA5 link hi-beat 80-hour movement. That movement features the Grand Seiko Dual Impulse Escapement, which is only the second serially link produced escapement that isn't a Swiss lever escapement (after the coaxial). But in quintessential Grand Seiko fashion, this watch is most captivating for its dial.

I have quite a lot of turquoise accessories but not a lot of clothing in that colour - you are making me regret that a little with these outfits as I love that skirt on you! There was a beautiful tiered maxi in this colour at a local store I admired but I thought about it too long and it sold out - should have just bought it when I had the chance!

These color combinations are ones that I particularly enjoy. With hair and skin tones that trend toward the autumn/warm spring palette, I've always incorporated turquoise and aqua in my wardrobe. Yes, I can see how this would be a great color for you. It's actually a pretty good color on most people, I think, and it certainly mixes well with other colors. I need to remember to do the orchid + aqua combination again because that was a fun one.
